Students from Babson and Wellesley marched from their campuses and met at a park midway between both campuses to speak out against hate and unite in the face of politically motivated hatred. Babson College students created the banner pictured above in a gesture of peace and acceptance. Good on both schools and the students involved in this endeavor.
However, we will probably never know the disciplinary outcome for the two young men who drove onto Wellesley campus to confront Wellesley students and single out students of color for specific taunts. Babson College has a message on their website promising that an investigation into the manner will take place, but that they cannot comment on the disciplinary outcome for the specific students due to privacy laws. I am still concerned that these two gentlemen were not arrested. I do not think it is a stretch to say that if these two guys were of a different ethnicity, well... you know.
